The Rollende Road Schau (RRS) was conceived as a mobile container-theatre by Bert Neumann, the set designer of Berlin's famous Volksbuehne am Rosa- Luxemburg-Platz theatre. Since 2000, RRS has been staging arts and theatre. RRS has toured in Berlin, Schwedt, Beograd and Sao Paolo, Brasil.
The RRS Evroremont Sofia/Ruse 2007 is an independent project, initiated by the artists Silvana Toneva and Alexander Tiller in cooperation with the setdesigner Bert Neumann and the author and director Rene Pollesch. The RRS aims to creating mobile presentations of theatre, dance, music and art, presented in an international context.
For 2007, RRS is planning to produce a show called "EVROREMONT", featuring artists from Berlin (Germany), Sofia and Ruse (Bulgaria). Evroremont means Euro-renovation.
RRS EVROREMONT 2007 will use a mobile stage, mounted on a truck and trailer, and a tent with space for the spectators.
The participants from Berlin are theatre-makers and musicians (Kapajkos,
Candie Hank), as well as DJ's.
They will work with Bulgarian artists (Nasekomix, others) in Sofia from
15th-23rd of june with a presentation at the RRS.
Two Pollesch pieces will be translated and "Pablo in der Plusfiliale" will be performed by bulgarian actors as part of EVROREMONT in Sofia.
The Goethe Institute Bulgarien will stage a poster-exhibition of the work of LSD-Berlin (18.06.-20.07.). The Redhouse-Sofia will stage the exhibition "Dreams for sale"- the image-campaign of Volksbuehne-Berlin (15.06.-30.07.).
